Pre-configured for your model

WeCo designs its LiFePO4 batteries in Italy, near Florence. The 4K4 and 5K3 modules are installed one by one or in clusters of several modules behind a hybrid inverter, and some are sold under the ZCS Azzurro name. The inverter reads the cluster as a whole: one percentage, one power figure. What happens inside each module stays hidden.

WeCo Monitor reads the battery management system over RS485 and shows the cluster as it really is: the charge of each module, the lowest and highest cell, temperatures and alarms. On a small screen by the battery, on your home Wi-Fi, in Home Assistant and, through the free Cloud, anywhere in the world. It only reads, so the link with your inverter stays as your installer set it.

Home Assistant automations

Your appliances run on the sun, by themselves

WeCo Monitor tells Home Assistant when the battery fills up and when it runs low. Four simple rules, and the washing machine, the water heater and the car use your sun instead of the grid. Watch a day:

Simulation of a sunny day for a house with 5 kWp of panels, a 10 kWh battery, a car that needs 10 kWh and a water heater. The energy delivered to each appliance is the same in both scenarios; only the timing changes. Your figures depend on your system, your tariff and the weather.

The cluster’s day at a glance

The chart shows when the battery starts charging, when it reaches full, how hard the house draws on it in the evening and what is left at sunrise. Next to it, the modules side by side: if one of them always ends the day lower, you see it after a week instead of after a year.

The free Cloud shows it from anywhere in the world, keeps three years of data and exports it to a spreadsheet.

Cloud Access · 100% Free: your battery, live, from anywhere

A WeCo cluster is meant to last for many years, and the signs that matter appear slowly: one module ending lower, a cell drifting, the health figure moving. The free Cloud shows them from wherever you are and keeps three years of history to compare against.

    Ideas people set up first

    One module behind

If sensor.weco_monitor_module_2_soc ends the evening more than 5 points under the other modules three days in a row, you get a notification to have the cluster checked.

    Surplus as hot water

When sensor.weco_monitor_soc is above 95% and the battery is still charging, the water heater is switched on instead of exporting.

    Monthly health report

On the first day of each month, a message gives you the state of health, the cycle count and the widest cell gap of the month.

    Evening reserve

Below 30% after sunset, the dishwasher and the tumble dryer wait for the next morning's sun.

    Questions people ask first

    Is it hard to install?

No, it is plug and play: plug the cable into the RS485 / CAN port of your WeCo battery and USB-C into a phone charger, then join the box’s Wi-Fi from your phone to give it your home network. About a minute, without tools, app or setting changed on the battery. The box arrives prepared for your model.

    Which WeCo batteries are supported?

WeCo 4K4 and 5K3 modules installed in low-voltage clusters. Tell us your models and how many modules you have when you order; we test that setup before shipping.

My cluster is high voltage. Will it work?

Not with this edition, which reads low-voltage clusters. Write to us with your configuration; high-voltage stacks are on our list.

I have a ZCS Azzurro battery made by WeCo.

Send us the label: many of them share the WeCo BMS, and we confirm before you order.
