About WeCo
Which WeCo batteries are supported?
WeCo 4K4 and 5K3 modules installed in low-voltage clusters. Tell us your models and how many modules you have when you order; we test that setup before shipping.
My cluster is high voltage. Will it work?
Not with this edition, which reads low-voltage clusters. Write to us with your configuration; high-voltage stacks are on our list.
I have a ZCS Azzurro battery made by WeCo.
Send us the label: many of them share the WeCo BMS, and we confirm before you order.
Will it disturb the link with my inverter?
No. The box uses a free RS485 port and only reads. The cluster keeps talking to the inverter as before.
Does it need the internet?
No. The screen, the local dashboard, MQTT and JSON work without internet. With an internet link, the free Cloud shows the battery from anywhere.
Shipping date?
10 November 2026. If we cannot meet it, full refund unless you choose to wait.
Can I cancel?
Yes, until dispatch, fully refunded including shipping.
Return and warranty?
14 days to return after delivery, two-year warranty, and 30 days with a full refund and return paid by us if your setup is not supported.
Does it change battery settings?
No. Read-only: nothing is ever written to the battery.
Is this a WeCo product?
No. WeCo Monitor (MoniWatt for WeCo) is an independent accessory designed in France. WeCo is a trademark of its owner.
Installation, plug & play
Is it hard to install?
No, it is plug and play: plug the cable into the RS485 / CAN port of your WeCo battery and USB-C into a phone charger, then join the box’s Wi-Fi from your phone to give it your home network. About a minute, without tools, app or setting changed on the battery. The box arrives prepared for your model.
Do I need to switch anything off?
No. The RS485 / CAN port is a low-voltage communication port: you plug in while the battery runs, nothing to open.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. Setup is done in your phone’s browser, through the box’s own Wi-Fi. The free Cloud account is optional, only to see your system from away.
Will it change my settings?
No. The box only reads: the limits, switches and settings of your battery stay exactly as they are.
What if my Wi-Fi changes?
Change it from the box settings page. If the box cannot reach your network for a few minutes, it opens its setup Wi-Fi again by itself.
Can my installer set it up for me?
Yes, and they can follow your system from their own Cloud access, while you keep yours.
What it shows
Which WeCo values does WeCo Monitor read?
State of charge, voltage, current and power, each cell, temperatures, health and cycles, status and alarms, as the WeCo BMS reports them on its RS485 / CAN port. The exact list depends on the model and firmware: tell us yours when you order.
How often are the values refreshed?
Every few seconds on the screen and the local dashboard, about every 2 minutes on the free Cloud, which keeps the history.
Can WeCo Monitor change a setting by mistake?
No. It only sends read requests. Nothing it does can change a setting, a mode or a limit of your equipment.
Do I need the internet to see my values?
No. The screen, the local dashboard, Home Assistant and the JSON API work on your home Wi-Fi alone. The internet is only needed for the free Cloud, to see your system from anywhere.
Can I export my data?
Yes: CSV export from the free Cloud, with up to 3 years of history, and live values at any time through the local JSON API or MQTT.
Home Assistant and smart home
Do I need HACS, ESPHome or a custom integration?
No. The box talks MQTT, which Home Assistant understands natively, and announces its own sensors (MQTT discovery). Nothing to install on the box, nothing to code.
I don’t have an MQTT broker yet. Is that a problem?
No: in Home Assistant, Settings › Add-ons › Mosquitto broker › Install, then Start. Home Assistant then offers to configure MQTT: one click. Two minutes, once, and it serves every MQTT device you will ever add.
Do I need the internet or the Cloud for Home Assistant?
No. Everything stays on your home network: the box speaks directly to Home Assistant. The free Cloud is a separate option, for seeing your system from anywhere.
Can I use Home Assistant and the Cloud at the same time?
Yes. Screen, local dashboard, Home Assistant and Cloud all work together, and none of them changes anything on your battery.
Do I need the Cloud for Home Assistant, Jeedom or Node-RED?
No. All of them read the box directly on your home network, through MQTT or the local JSON API. The Cloud is only for seeing your system from away, or for online services like IFTTT.
Where do I find my access key?
On the box’s page, Settings › Access key & Cloud. You can generate a new one at any time; the old one then stops working.
How often can I read the values?
The box keeps the latest reading, refreshed every few seconds. Polling every 30 to 60 seconds is plenty; MQTT pushes each new reading without polling.
Can an integration change my settings?
No. The box only reads your equipment: no command sent through MQTT or the API can change a setting.
Is there a Tuya or SmartLife integration?
Not natively. IFTTT, Make.com or Apilio can read the private JSON link of the free Cloud and trigger Tuya or SmartLife scenes.
The free Cloud
Is the Cloud really free?
Yes, with no subscription and no paid tier: live dashboard, 3 years of history, CSV export and e-mail alerts are included with the box.
Do I need a password?
No. You sign in with your e-mail: we send you a one-time link. Your box is linked to your account with its access key.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The screen, the local dashboard and Home Assistant keep working at home. The Cloud picks up again as soon as the connection is back, and can e-mail you if the box stays silent for 6 hours.
Can someone else follow my system?
Yes. Your installer, or anyone you give the access key to, can link the box to their own account. You can change the key whenever you like.
Can I switch it off and delete my data?
Untick the option in the box settings and it stops sending at once. Stored readings are deleted on request, with one e-mail.
Order, delivery, returns
Will the box disturb my inverter?
No. It uses a free RS485 port and only reads. The cluster keeps talking to the inverter exactly as before.
My installation is high voltage. Can I order?
Write to us first: this edition reads low-voltage clusters, and we tell you honestly whether yours can be read.
When will I receive it?
Pre-orders ship on 10 November 2026. Delivery then takes 2 to 10 days depending on the country; you receive the tracking link by e-mail the day it leaves.
Can I cancel my pre-order?
Yes, at any time before dispatch, for any reason: reply to your confirmation e-mail or use the online form. You get 100% back, shipping included.
What if my battery is not supported?
Return the box within 30 days of delivery: we refund it in full and pay the return shipping.
Is payment secure?
Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details never reach our servers, and your bank may ask you to confirm the payment.
Do I pay customs duties?
Not within the European Union. Elsewhere (United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, United States…), import duties and taxes may be charged by the carrier on delivery.
Compared with the other options
Is there a WeCo battery app?
The WeCo app works over Bluetooth or through the maker’s cloud. WeCo Monitor adds a dashboard on your Wi-Fi at home and, through the free Cloud, on any phone or PC anywhere in the world, with three years of history. Nothing to install.
Can I see my WeCo battery on my PC?
Yes: open http://moniwatt.local in any browser on your network, or the free Cloud dashboard from anywhere. No Windows software, no USB adapter.
Can I read my WeCo battery without Bluetooth or a Wi-Fi dongle?
Yes. WeCo Monitor reads the battery through its RS485 / CAN port, shows it on its own screen and on your Wi-Fi, and keeps working even without internet.
How do I connect my WeCo battery to Home Assistant?
Enter your MQTT broker in WeCo Monitor: Home Assistant creates every sensor by itself, charge, power, cells, temperatures and alarms. No Bluetooth proxy, no ESP32, no YAML.

Your appliances run on the sun, by themselves
WeCo Monitor tells Home Assistant when the battery fills up and when it runs low. Four simple rules, and the washing machine, the water heater and the car use your sun instead of the grid. Watch a day:
Your solar production
Your consumption
Automations
- Washing machine on the sun
- The car follows the sun
- Hot water for free
- Gentle evening heating
